Charlestown Housing Authority

Welcome to the Charlestown Housing Authority Website!

The CHA is committed to serving those in need of quality housing through our Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs. The Public Housing program offers one to four bedroom apartments and handicapped accessible apartments as well. Our Housing Choice Voucher Program currently has a waiting list that is open for applications. Please contact our office for questions regarding these programs.

Housing discrimination is discrimination in which an individual or family is treated unequally when trying to rent, buy, lease, sell or finance a home based on certain characteristics, such as race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability and familial status. In 1968, The Fair Housing Act was passed as a follow up to the historic Civil Rights Act of 1964. Both of these legislative achievements represent the core of the Charlestown Housing Authority. We are committed to practices that are free of discrimination and prejudice. To learn more about Fair Housing, visit our Links page.
